A week of holistic healing is making its way into Muskoka

Huntsville residents are getting a chance to learn about a holistic healing technique. It’s called Therapeutic Touch, and helps with pain relief, anxiety, and stress, among other issues.

The Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario is bringing some free workshops to the area, including the Huntsville and Burk’s Falls libraries. Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors, Mary-Jane Cowtan says this is part of therapeutic touch week, which begins on Monday.

Chair of the Board of Directors of the TTNO, Shirley Boon, says each session is geared toward the patient.

The sessions at the library are free of charge, and everyone is welcome to sign up. They are all done by a registered practitioner, who maintain their status by taking classes every day.

The session times are below:

  • Huntsville Library: May 2nd from 10:30am to 5:00pm
  • Baysville Library: May 3rd from 10:00am to 3:00pm
  • Burk’s Falls Library: May 4th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
  • Dwight Library: May 5th from from 10:00am to 3:00pm
