Ministry of Education making a stop in Honey Harbour

Honey Harbour residents are getting some face time with the government to talk about rural schools. The Ministry of Education is committing to 10 public engagement sessions across Ontario to hear ideas on how quality education can be delivered in rural communities.

This comes as the fate of Honey Harbour Public School hangs in the balance. Trillium Lakelands District school Board staff has changed its recommendation from closing the school in June to having it stay open for five more years. A final decision is expected tomorrow.

Ministry officials will be in the community on Mar 23rd.
