Muskoka realtors are facing a busy spring as homes are being bought up quickly.
President of the Lakelands Association of Realtors Mike Taylor says a hot Toronto market is motivating some people to sell high there and buy low here.
Taylor says working from home seems to be a popular option for a lot of buyers that aren’t just retiring in Muskoka.
He says this influx of buyers leading to a lack of houses on the market and that need for more product is definitely benefiting the sellers.
Taylor says the ceiling is there for this market, but they’re not likely to hit it just yet.
He says with the recent announcements from the Wynne Liberals about cooling down the Toronto market, he doesn’t believe that will have much affect on Muskoka.
