There’s a chance you might come across a stray syringe while you’re cleaning up your Muskoka community.
With Earth Week around the corner, many communities are getting involved in clean-up efforts.
Bracebridge OPP Constable Mo Tilson says you should never touch a needle you find on the ground.
Tilson says because this isn’t an emergency, you should call the local number and not 9-1-1.
She says the chances of finding a stray syringe that has been used are slim.
But, if you do get cut by one while you’re cleaning up garbage, you should see a doctor as soon as possible just to be safe.
