There is still a shortage of blood donors in Cottage Country.
Blood drives in Parry Sound and Muskoka over the weekend were able to collect close to 140 units of blood, which is about 40 short of the goal.
Canadian Blood Services representative Elaine St. Pierre says the consistent winter weather across Ontario has been affecting the numbers.
St. Pierre says they’re still seeing a shortage on donors that have registered for clinics in Muskoka today and tomorrow.
The clinic today is running from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at the Bracebridge Sportsplex.
