TLDSB French immersion survey is raising concerns for a parents group in Gravenhurst

A Gravenhurst parents group is concerned about a recent survey released by the local school board.
Trillium Lakelands District School Board recently released the survey on offering French immersion in Gravenhurst,
Luke LaRocque of the Parents For French group says this survey is restrictive to a lot of parents in the community.
LaRocque says there are other flaws in the survey that could affect data collection as well.
He says he has connected with Director of Education for the board Larry Hope and they will be meeting to discuss this issue next week.
LaRocque says he’s still advocating for parents to fill out the current survey until they can work out a wider spectrum of coverage for other families in the area.
TLDSB representative Catherine Shedden reached out to Moose FM and says the school board is working on connecting with families outside the board.
She says they should have this new strategy rolled out by mid-April.
