Bracebridge teenager comes out on top in the NOJHL

A Bracebridge teenager is making waves in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. Seventeen-year-old Parker Bowman won a league-wide trophy, for being the top defensive forward.

Bowman plays for the Powassan Voodoos, and in 45 games he had 16 goals and 14 assists. Assistant Coach Brent Tomlinson says he managed to win a defensive award while still putting away goals. He notes this is Bowman’s first season with the team, and the award shows his attention to detail and his level of discipline.

Tomlinson says Bowman wrapped up the regular season with his first Junior A hat-trick on the final game.
