Huntsville High School bringing home the improv gold

Huntsville High School students are among the funniest in Ontario. The school recently won first place at the Canadian Improv Regional Games in Sudbury.

The senior team took home the gold, the junior team came in fourth, and a team from Bracebridge won silver. The gold-winning team is now moving on to compete in the national tournament.

Huntsville High went to nationals last year, where they finished in the top ten. The improv games have audience members shout out ideas, and the team is required to create a scene based on what’s said.

This year’s national games are happening in Ottawa in April, at the National Arts Centre. On top the competition, there will also be workshops, nightly shows, and social events.
