Snow squalls could hit the area today

Be careful on the roads this afternoon as heavy snow might be on the way. Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Port Carling, and Port Severn are all under a snow squall watch from Environment Canada.

The weather service says the squalls are likely to hit the area this evening, continuing until tomorrow morning. The weather can quickly change from clear skies to whiteouts in just a few minutes when the squalls hit.

Bracebridge could be seeing up to 10 cm of snow tonight, with the temperature dropping down to minus 8.

Huntsville isn’t going to get as much snow, around four cm overnight with another two cm tomorrow. There is no snow squall watch in effect, but there is still a risk they could develop.
