Baby loss bereavement group looks to help families in Bracebridge

A Bracebridge woman is hoping to use her tragic experience with child loss to help others.
Amber Burtoo is working with the Midwives of Muskoka to offer a bereavement group for any families that are dealing with the loss of a baby.
Burtoo says over a year ago she went through a similar situation where she had a stillbirth and had difficulty finding somewhere local to go to deal with her grief.
Burtoo was able to find a free space at the Midwives of Muskoka office to run the bereavement group twice a month.
There is also a grief counsellor on hand to help guide the group through any discussions.
If you’re interested in attending this group, the next meeting is February 27th at 7:00pm.
You can also join the Facebook group Gone But Never Forgotten for more support.
