Students in Muskoka are about to get some first-hand experience in the business world.
This spring, elementary school students will be tasked to take part in the third annual TLDSB Dragons’Â Den.
Organizer of the event Brian Andreasen says students from a variety of schools in Muskoka will need to come up with a very specific business plan.
Students only have a few weeks to prepare before they face off with the Dragons, which will be made up of local business owners and professionals.
Andreasen says the event has been expanded and split into two groups of schools in both north and south Muskoka.
Both Andreasen and teacher Mark Janke were inspired by the CBC show Dragons’ Den to create this academic program.
