Community support for Jake Thomas continues to roll in

The community support for a Bracebridge man seriously injured in a snowmobile crash continues. The Muskoka Aquatic Club is hosting a public swim this Sunday, where a $5 donation will get you an hour in the pool, on the waterslide, and in lessons.

It’s all happening for Jake Thomas, who was left paralyzed from the waist down after the crash happened in early January. All of Thomas’ four kids are swimmers with the aquatic club.

This comes after a public skating day with the South Muskoka Minor Hockey Association brought in around $7,000.

The fundraiser is happening at the Bracebridge Sportsplex between 10:00am and 11:00am on the 26th. There is also a Go Fund Me page for Thomas which has raised almost $180,000.
