Government funding must be considered to help pay for new arena in Bracebridge says Mayor

Bracebridge will definitely be looking into government funding to help build a new arena.
This is the message from Mayor Graydon Smith after council was presented with the $47 million concept for the proposed building that could also feature a new library.
Smith says, no matter what option council moves forward with, there will be an application sent to the province and the feds.
As for the 2018 start date, Smith says this might be a bit ambitious as the town may only begin looking for funding next year.
There are still many other decision to be made regarding this proposed arena and the future of the library.
Council is expecting a report back from town staff by the summer on the next steps to take.
