Ground water usage may soon come with a large fee for Muskoka water bottlers

Water bottling companies in Muskoka are facing hefty fees for using groundwater.
The province is proposing to change the fee for using groundwater from just over three dollars to just over $500 per 1 million litres used.
This money will be used by the province to further research ground water management and the impact on ground water from climate change.
The government is looking for local input on this proposed fee change.
