The Town of Gravenhurst is taking a new role in animal control.
The By-law department for the town is now responsible for most of the dog-related incidents and complaints in the community.
This includes missing or found dogs, minor animal cruelty cases and dog-related complaints like barking or being walked without a leash.
Town officials say more serious animal cruelty cases will still be handled by the OSPCA.
