Snow squall watch upgraded to a warning

Environment Canada is upgrading its snow squall watch for Muskoka today. The area is now under a snow squall warning. The weather is expected to get worse this morning as a cold front moves through the area.

Up to 10 cm of snow is on the way, with possible white out conditions. The snow squalls are then going to move out of the area this afternoon as the cold front moves south.

Environment Canada says driving could be dangerous today, as the conditions could go from clear skies to heavy snow in just a few minutes. Visibility could be very low, and the weather service suggests postponing any non-essential travel until the conditions improve.

That snow squall warning is now in effect for Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Baysville, Parry Sound, and Port Carling.
