The MNRF has fined a Brantford man for hunting a moose without a licence in the Parry Sound region.
On October 19th, a conservation officer came across the hunter harvesting a cow moose on Dollar Lake in McConkey Township.
The hunter had shot the cow after mistaking it for a calf, but he did not have a validation tag to shoot an adult.
He was fined $1,000 for the offense after the case was heard in court in Parry Sound on November 29th.
