The plan to bring regional commercial flights to Muskoka is moving closer to becoming a reality.
On Thursday, the District of Muskoka Planning and Economic Development Committee heard Explorers’ Edge was considering approaching tier one Canada full service carriers and their partners.
But, Lake of Bays Mayor Bob Young felt there still needed to be a discussion about reviving train transportation to and from Muskoka.
Moose FM wanted to know what type of transportation you would prefer to use to get in and out of Muskoka.
Officials say some of the carriers Explorers’ Edge may approach would include Air Canada, Porter Airlines or WestJet.
According to details, the organization may start looking for key stakeholders in the tourism sectors to partner on this project in near future.
