Clement Asking for Opinions on Changing the Voting System

Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement would like to hear from residents in the area about the Liberal government’s goal to change the voting system without a referendum.

He says a questionnaire has been mailed out, asking residents in the riding if they would like to see a referendum when it comes to changing the voting system.

Clement says the Liberals are ruling out letting Canadians have their voices heard through a referendum, instead signalling that a parliamentary committee is sufficient.

The questionnaire can be filled out and sent back to Ottawa by September 30th.
