Bracebridge OPP arrest two people after vehicle is stolen

The Bracebridge OPP has charged two people after they were pulled over in a stolen vehicle.
Police say they received a report of a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 118 East in Bracebridge last Friday afternoon.
Police arrived to find the vehicle, which had been reported stolen in Hamilton, was stopped on Conway Crescent.
The Huntsville man who had driving tried to run before being arrested, while the New Tecumseh woman riding in the passenger seat stayed in the vehicle.
Police found stolen property in the vehicle.
The 26-year-old man now faces a charge of possessing property obtained by crime, obstructing a peace officer, escaping lawful custody, and failing to comply with a probation order.
The 32-year-old woman has been charged with possessing property obtained by crime and obstructing a peace officer.
Both will appear for separate court dates in Bracebridge in August.
