Lake of Bays Mayor Bob Young is looking for Huntsville’s support in his proposal for equal representation at the district level.
On Monday at the town’s regular council meeting, Young will make his presentation as he looks to receive support to gain an extra vote for townships in the District of Muskoka. Currently, municipalities in the district hold 12 votes, while townships only get 10.
Young says he doesn’t know what to expect come Monday night.
Young received support from the townships of Georgian Bay and Muskoka Lakes. He needs just one town to support the proposal to take it to the next level.
The Town of Huntsville will have its monthly meeting Monday night at 7:00pm inside the Port Sydney Community Hall.
