Snow squall watch upgraded to warning for Muskoka

A snow squall watch has been upgraded to a warning for the Muskoka and Parry Sound areas.

Environment Canada is warning intense bands of lake effect flurriesĀ could lead to some very heavy snowfall in a short amount of time.

The weather service is predicting we could see up to 10 centimeters of snow fall over a six-hour period.

The snow squall bands are expected to slowly push across the region throughout the day before moving on.

Snow squalls can rapidly reduce visibility and cause dangerous driving conditions.
