The Muskoka Steamship and Historical Society has received a $1,000 donation from Muskoka Community Foundation.
Through the foundation, the Cowan Family Fund was created and has donated to over $26,000 to organizations across Muskoka.
The historical society was one of these recipients, and President John Miller says he is pleased to receive this donation.
Miller says there are a number of initiatives within the society that the money can go towards including programs and restoration of the ships.
