Hydro officials are providing tips for homeowners in Muskoka to make sure their outdoor lighting is safe and secure.
Overloaded circuits can cause dimming inside homes and could even cause fires. Alyssia Sayers with Hydro One says there are ways to avoid powering all lights to one circuit.
She says LED lights are the best type of lights to use on your home.
She says electrical connections should be off the ground at all times. Never install the lights with the power on, always test them first then unplug and install.
