Nipissing University staff reach tentative agreement

Students can breathe a sigh of relief following a tentative agreement between faculty and administration at Nipissing University.

On Thursday morning it was reported that, following talks which were overseen by provincial mediator Greg Long, the two sides were able to make the tentative agreement.

According to the report students will be allowed to return to classes on Monday, November 30th.

This deal is still subject to ratification by the University’s Board of Governors, although that vote has not been scheduled at this point.

Faculty have been on strike since October, and the Muskoka campus has been closed during this period.
