Council took time during their monthly meeting to express their appreciation for one committee member.
Accessibility Advisory Committee Chair, Debbie Kirwin was presented with the AODA 10th Anniversary Champion Award on Monday night. The award recognizes individuals who show leadership in accessibility and disability issues.
Kirwin was involved with the bid and organizing the Paralympic Games held in Huntsville in 2006.
