Conservative Candidate Speaks About Seniors Less Than Two Weeks Before Elections

Parry Sound-Muskoka has a large population of seniors.

Incumbent Conservative candidate Tony Clement says that his government has done a lot to help seniors pay less taxes and supported local initiatives.

Clement says that nationally his party has reduced minimum withdrawal factors for registered retirement income funds, increased the tax-free savings account limit, a new home accessibility tax credit, and provided money to extend EI compassionate care benefits.

Clement is running against Liberal Trisha Cowie, Green Glen Hodgson, NDP Matt McCarthy, Canada Action Gordie Merton, Marxist-Leninist Albert Gray Smith, and Pirate Party Duncan Bell.

Election Day is October 19th with advanced polls open today and throughout the Thanksgiving weekend.
