Georgian Bay Township has a big, hairy problem.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP report that there have been several reports of bear sightings in the township.
A majority of sightings have happened in the Go Home River area.
Witnesses said they had seen a bear breaking into a cottage by ripping off siding and had damaged other buildings.
Bears have also been witnessed in Port Severn and Victoria Harbour.
Police suggest keeping garbage sealed tight, properly cleaning BBQ’s and if you have a lot of bears near your home, stop putting out hummingbird feed and suet.
