1995 was the year Dan Barkwell was hired to be part of the staff at Moose Delaney’s located at 3 Cann St. in downtown Huntsville.
Twenty years later, Dan is still there. But, he is eleven years in as owner.
This week marks the 20th year celebrating business for Dan and his Sports Bar & Grill. Dan has gone from adding on an extra seating room, to adding a great patio, and even a full renovation after the horrendous flooding that occurred in the spring of 2013.
‘Local and Loving it’ is his slogan, and he goes by it every day he’s open. Dan explains that it’s the local customers who are the ones that keep him going.
Over the last twenty years, Dan will be the first person to tell you by no means has this been a success on his own. He has a lot of people to thank, and that’s his staff.
Dan encourages everyone to come out and enjoy the rest of the celebration week, and would like to continue to thank everyone who helped make these last twenty years a great success.
