OPP make arrest in police pursuit case

On Monday Bracebridge OPP started an investigation into a series of threats made by Thomas Lustvee of Bracebridge, who had earlier that same day been involved in a suspect apprehension pursuit in the Aurora area.  Lustvee was located driving on Highway 11 in Gravenhurst at approximately 3:45 p.m. that same afternoon and ultimately police engaged him in his second suspect apprehension pursuit that day, near Simcoe Road 169 in Washago.  The pursuit was ultimately terminated due to safety concerns related to changing road and weather conditions.

Police requested the assistance of the public in locating Lustvee and his vehicle and yesterday at 8pm Lustvee turned himself in to Bracebridge OPP.

The 58 year-old has been charged with:

  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Uttering Threats to Damage Property
  • Flight from Police
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Race a Motor Vehicle
  • Driving while Under Suspension

Lustvee was held in custody and will appear in Bracebridge Bail Court today.
