Accused in worldwide Ponzi scheme to make court appearance Thursday

Nick Smirnow will be in Bracebridge court Thursday for pre-trial. He’s the man facing 10 counts of fraud and conspiracy in relation to an online Ponzi scheme that stole $70 million from 40,000 investors worldwide. Smirnow, a Baysville resident, did not make bail back in March. His last scheduled court appearance was for April 27^th.
