Muskoka Fire Danger Rating at moderate

The Muskoka Association of Fire Chiefs has measured the local Fire Danger Rating. Fire Prevention Officer Mike Vadlja says the quick melting of snow and lower humidity levels will speed up drying of uncovered brush. The rating is set to moderate, which means no daytime burning is allowed. Vadlja says you need to make sure you have all the tools and water you need to put out a fire if necessary and you must be with your fire at all times.
