18 appeals launched against new Muskoka Lakes zoning bylaw

The Township of Muskoka Lakes’ new zoning bylaw isn’t sitting well with some people. The bylaw governs what you can and can’t do with your property and the Moose has learned that 18 appeals against it are now headed to Ontario’s Municipal Board (OMB). Some of the issues concern a rural property near Windermere, others are about a lack of setback for sewage disposal systems and others concern a rule in the bylaw that says there can’t be anymore new tent/trailer parks on Lakes Rosseau, Joe and Muskoka. Muskoka Lakes’ Planning Director David Pink tells us what will happen next…

If that works, the OMB hearings into the appeals might be headed off. Only time will tell.
