Smirnow still in custody awaiting an April 27th pre-trial court date

The accused in a worldwide fraud case is still in custody awaiting an April 27^th pre-trial court date. Baysville resident Nick Smirnow appeared in Bracebridge Court this week and did not make bail. The court office says he’s now scheduled back in court for the April date. Smirnow was charged with 10 counts of fraud and conspiracy in the US because of an online Ponzi scheme that stole $70-million from 40,000 investors across the globe.
