Local care coordinators are going to the picket line

Care Coordinators across Muskoka are on strike! Last night, the Ontario Nurses Association’s 10 Community Care Access Centres took a strike vote after negotiations with their employers were unsuccessful. These care coordinators have been without a contract since last March. The ONA says their goal is to get all CCACs at the same wage scale, which the employers would not agree to. This affects professionals in the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN. Care coordinators in Huntsville and Bracebridge are picketing on Frank Miller Drive at the Huntsville Hospital entrance. Protest starts at 10 a.m. Others are protesting in their respective communities.
