Registration continues for the annual Kearney Dog Sled Races. In less than 10 days up teams will pour into town for the event. Committee Chair Tori White says all races start and end at the waterfront in downtown Kearney.

The races are happening on Feb. 7 to Feb. 8. White says there will be activities for spectators in between races as well. White says the races are a huge attraction.

There are five races this year including a 10-dog stage race, which White says is new this year. She says racers will have two extra dogs on hand as well.

White says this will be the longest stage race in Ontario. Other races include the Kid & Mutt Race, 6-Dog Sprint and Skijoring. Registration can be done online until the day before the event. However, for the longer races, White suggests you register by Feb. 1. Click here for details and to register.
