The Township of Lake of Bays hired a consultant to take a look at the conditions of the roads. Mayor Bob Young says the report says their roads are in pretty good shape.
Young says they aren’t meeting the provincial guidelines for the width of their roads. The consultant also listed which roads needed attention from the highest priority to the least priority. Young says the town was also encourage to look at developing a road maintenance plan.
The roads needs study shows there are just 37 kilometres of roads that need structural or surface type improvements over the next 10 years, which would cost around $5-millions. Click here to read the report.
