The Muskoka Loppet, a Nordic ski race, was held Sunday at Arrowhead Provincial Park. Organizers say it was a very successful event. This year 241 racers crossed the finish line, which is a record for the race, since it was re-established in the ‘90s.
Over 75 people volunteered their time to make it happen this year – There were three race distances: 5 km, 15km and 30 km. Â Skiers aged 5 to over 70 years old took part. Organizers say there was a large number of local skiers but also a large number from across Ontario. Detailed results are available online at: http://zone4.ca/live.asp?idS68Â
